Hosted R2 Lacrosse events are events where the vast majority of coaches are from the R2 staff.

conducting trainings and evaluations for recruiting purposes.
6. My Child is not on the same team with their friends, but they are in the same grade. Why is that?
US Lacrosse has implemented age-verification requirements. Due to 47 states using Sept 1 as the cutoff, New York players born after September 1 or June 1 will be on the appropriate aged team and the best team for their skill level. Graduation years are only used for team names now, not a child's actual graduation year from High School. We've also put the US Lacrosse age charts at the bottom of this page.
Here is a link to better explain the process: https://www.usalacrosse.com/age-eligibility-guidelines
7. My child really wants to play with their friends, is that possible?
It is possible based on a few factors, but not likely. With the age process, some kids will have to be on separate teams for competitions. This doesn't mean that they won't practice together though. We do our best to make ensure kids can play with their friends at practices. Remember though, club lacrosse isn't about playing with their friends from the town team, it's about getting better and competing against better competition.
8. My child plays up on their local rec team, I would like them to play up in club too. Is that possible?
Although local youth teams can be very good, it doesn't mean that an athlete can play up at the club level. A lot of the players on the teams we compete against play up on their local teams, but compete in their age group for club tournaments. The level of lacrosse at this level is better than most town teams.
